NEW SPONSORS SUPPORT NORTH AMERICAN BEAULIEU CLASSIC HORSE TRIALS

The North American Beaulieu Classic and Horse Trials has announced a family of new sponsors for its spring event, which takes place from April 2-4th 2004 at Chatsworth in North Georgia.

The equine nutrition company, Nutrena, known for its generous support of equestrian sport has donated $3000, which will be used for the competitors' party on Saturday, April 3rd. Nutrena products are designed for Optimum Nutrition, Exceptional Health and World Class Performance. Among its well-known brand names are Empower®, Life Design®, Vitality®, FARR®, Triumph® and Horse Twik®.

Another loyal supporter of eventing, Mountain Horse, has agreed to supply Jackets for all first place division winners and also horse pads for some of the winners. The Swedish company is well known in the horse world for producing hardwearing, functional and attractive clothes, which bear a trace of the classical riding traditions, yet meet stringent requirements for the highest possible safety.

The Farm House Inc. from Landrum, SC has offered sponsorship in the form of products. They will be awarding a horse cooler to the first place rider in each division. The Farm House Inc Tack Shop proffers the latest in training equipment, saddles, chaps, boots, helmets, horse tack, and grooming supplies to the hottest horse show clothes and will be the exclusive tack shop at the event.

Mike Dalton and Mauijim sunglasses will be giving free sunglasses to the top ten riders in the CIC*** and to the top three riders in all other divisions. Known for their stylish designs, Mauijim has become synonymous with event riders as a result of their loyal support to equestrian sport across the country.

Fleeceworks will supply saddle pads for the top three placing in each division. Fleeceworks designs equestrian products with input from top competitors, veterinarians and saddle makers to insure that the results hold up to the most rigorous standards, and reflect up to date changes in tack design.

John Logerfo and Michael Diamond are the creators of English Riding Supply, which sells a range of equestrian products from saddles to boots and will be providing a horse cooler for second place in each division.

The official event photographer, Christine Tchir with Sport Horse Studios, will again provide free photos to the winners.

In addition, the North American Beaulieu Classic will be offering prize money of $10,000 as well as a trophy and ribbons for the four divisions - CIC***, Advanced, Open Intermediate and Preliminary.

Event Director, Jack Pollard, is thrilled with the increase in sponsorship for this year's event. "The additional support we're getting for this year's event is so encouraging and validates everything we've been doing here for the past seven years to establish this event. We have the highest caliber of riders on this continent who will be competing here as part of their preparation for the Olympic Games, so we're delighted to be able to offer them these added prizes."

NOTES FOR EDITORS

A CIC event is a horse trials with the same format, i.e. dressage, cross-country and show jumping as the other divisions except that it is recognized by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) as an international competition.

Belgium international event rider, Carl Bouckaert, established the Horse Trials in 1988. Bouckaert Farm is one of the premier equestrian facilities in the world, offering a wide range of opportunities for the eventing enthusiast. The farm is also home to international 3-Day Event riders Nathalie Bouckaert, and Michael Pollard. Additionally, many well known advanced horses presently reside at the farm, including Welton Molecule, Mr. Mullins, The Boomer, Nero, On the Button, Pinnacle Springbok, and Oliver Edgecombe.
